Question by Acrow: Should I get a credit card? How do you choose the best credit card?
I just finished college, and work full time. I have a debit card, and building good credit from paying off loans. A lot of people have been telling me to get a credit card, but I wonder if it really is necessary. Please give me some good reasons to get a credit card other than building good credit. The only other advantage I know about is those point-system/rewards credit cards, that earn you miles or other things. And what is the best credit card to get for a first time credit card holder? The number of choices are a little overwhelming. How did you choose your first/main credit card?

Question by buzzdogear777: What is the best credit card to get for a starter in the credit world?
I’m looking at getting my first credit card. I’m 20 years old and I have a credit card that is linked to my parents, so I have near perfect credit. I’m trying to start building my own credit and I want to know what is the best card for a young person trying to build their own credit.

Where do you have your checking account?
Has your account been in good standing for 6 months?
Go to their website and apply for a credit card with no annual fees.
Pay in full each month for top credit.

Note: New laws passed in February will make it nearly impossible for anyone under 21 to get a credit card without a co-signer.
But.. I still want you to try.
You must have steady employment and sufficient ability to pay back.
